The present disclosure provides a system and method for predicting the probability of vehicle passage during a green light phase. A method for determining a probability of a first vehicle crossing a traffic light during a green light phase is disclosed. A method may include obtaining information associated with a green light duration, first vehicle information, and second vehicle information. The first vehicle information may include a historical speed profile rate of change associated with the first vehicle, and the second vehicle information may include a first duration required for the second vehicle to pass through the traffic light. The method may also include estimating a second duration required for the first vehicle to pass through the traffic light based on the first vehicle information and the second vehicle information, and comparing the second estimated duration to the green light duration. A method may determine a probability that the first vehicle traverses the traffic light for the green light duration based on the comparison, and transmit a notification to indicate the probability.
