The technical problem that the control effect on thermal management of the power battery is poor due to the fact that the accuracy of determining the reference temperature threshold value for thermal management of the power battery is low in the related technology is at least solved. Comprising the steps that under the condition that a power battery is charged, target current and the first charge state of the power battery are determined, and the target current is average current when the power battery is charged by a charging pile or output current of the charging pile; based on the target current, the first charge state and a first preset relationship, determining a first temperature threshold, the first preset relationship being used for indicating a corresponding relationship among the plurality of currents, the plurality of charge states and the plurality of thermal management starting temperature thresholds; and performing thermal management on the charging process of the power battery based on the first temperature threshold. The accuracy of determining the reference temperature threshold value for thermal management of the power battery can be improved.
