The invention relates to a traffic vehicle counting method based on improved YOLOv8, and the method comprises the steps: introducing an LSKA attention mechanism to improve the YOLOv8 according to the image difference characteristics of passing vehicles; the counting method comprises the following steps: shooting passing vehicles at an urban road intersection, and preprocessing the shot videos to obtain a data set D1; an improved YOLOv8 neural network is constructed; inputting a training set in the data set D1 into the improved YOLOv8 network for training; verifying the trained improved YOLOv8 network by using a test set in the data set D1; and the trained model is optimized through a ByteTrack algorithm. According to the traffic vehicle counting method based on the improved YOLOv8, on the basis of an SPPF structure of a YOLOv8 network, an LSKA attention mechanism is introduced, feature extraction and fusion capabilities are increased, and the precision of recognition of passing vehicles is improved; and through a real road scene, the method is not influenced by environmental factors and complex weather and terrains, and the passing vehicles at the road intersection are dynamically tracked in real time.

    本发明涉及一种基于改进YOLOv8的交通车辆计数方法,根据过往车辆的图像差异特点,引入LSKA注意力机制对YOLOv8进行改进;计数方法包括:拍摄城市道路路口的来往车辆,对拍摄的视频进行预处理,得到数据集D1;构建改进YOLOv8神经网络;将数据集D1中的训练集输入到改进YOLOv8网络中进行训练;将数据集D1中的测试集验证训练后的改进YOLOv8网络;将训练后的模型通过ByteTrack算法进行优化。改进YOLOv8的交通车辆计数方法,在YOLOv8网络的SPPF结构的基础上,引入LSKA注意力机制,增加特征提取和融合能力,提高过往车辆识别的精度;并通过真实的道路场景,不受环境因素和复杂的天气和地形的影响,实时和动态的追踪道路路口的过往车辆。
