The method comprises the following steps: acquiring a preset test time period, and generating a plurality of timestamps based on the test time period; matching at least two corresponding traffic characteristic values for each timestamp; and taking each timestamp and the traffic characteristic value corresponding to the timestamp as sample data, and training the initial model based on the sample data to generate a traffic prediction model. According to the embodiment of the invention, the diversity and flexibility of the sample data are enhanced, so that the traffic prediction model trained by the multi-dimensional sample data is more stable, and the prediction result of the traffic prediction model is more accurate.
