The method comprises the following steps that 1, a ship body center line is drawn on a section where a water jet propulsion flow channel is located; 2, positioning according to the center line of the ship body and the center width of the flow channel, and drawing a flow channel datum line; 3, measuring intersection points of the reinforcing ribs at the rib positions according to the arc lengths from the reinforcing ribs to the flow channel datum line on the rib positions by taking the flow channel datum line as a datum, and sequentially drawing intersection points of the reinforcing ribs at the rib positions; 4, the intersection points of the reinforcing ribs at the rib positions of all the gears are connected, and a reinforcing rib assembly curve is obtained; and 5, sequentially positioning and mounting the reinforcing ribs according to the reinforcing rib assembly curve. The problem that on-site construction reinforcing ribs are difficult to position and install is effectively solved, meanwhile, accumulation of installation errors is avoided, and the positioning precision is improved.
