The terminals are arranged on at least one side face of the cell housing. A battery cell module includes a plurality of the battery cells. A terminal of a first battery cell makes contact with a terminal of a second battery cell. The disclosure describes a method for producing the battery cell module, in which at least one first and one second battery cell are provided, positioned next to one another, and at least one terminal of the first battery cell is electrically conductively connected to a terminal of the second battery cell.
