The invention relates to a method for washing a windshield of a motor vehicle, by using a washing device including vessels of the first and second fluids, a duct connecting the vessels to openings for ejecting the fluids onto the windshield, at least one pump used to cause the fluids to flow into the duct, and at least one wiper blade, method which is characterized in that it includes, for example, a step of driving the wiper blade from a low position to a high position, and of activating the pump system such that the first fluid is ejected onto the windshield only between the time when the blade is in the low position thereof and the time when the blade is in an intermediate position, or only between the time when the blade is in an intermediate position and the time when the blade is in the high position thereof, or only between the time when the blade is in an intermediate position and the time when the blade is in another intermediate position.
