There is provided a satellite for observing a target from space, comprising an image capturing module for capturing an image of a target moving relative to the satellite, an image processing module for processing one or more images captured by the image capturing module and for outputting the processed one or more images representing the observed target, and a communications module for communicating with at least one other satellite via an inter-satellite link and for communicating with a ground station, wherein the communications module is arranged to receive an instruction to capture one or more images of a target, in which the instruction contains first scene information relating to the target to be imaged, the image capture module and image processing module are arranged to initiate capture and processing of at least one image of the target using the received first scene information, wherein the communications module is further arranged to transmit second scene information comprising information relating to the target to at least one of the other satellites such that at least one of the other satellites can initiate imaging of the target. A satellite constellation, ground station, and ground control method are also provided.
