The invention is related to a sail (1) for a kite comprising a canopy (2) having a leading edge (3) and a trailing edge (4); a front chamber (6) extending along said leading edge (3); and an inflatable hose (7) disposed in said front chamber (6), wherein said hose (7) being inflated with a compressed fluid, preferably compressed air or compressed gas, so that said hose (7) in said front chamber (6) is forming a front tube (5) of said sail (1), wherein in said inflated state of said hose (7), said hose (7) being dimensionally stable for bringing said sail (1) in a negative dihedral form independent on a load condition of said sail (1) and wherein said hose (7) comprises a predefined curvature in its longitudinal alignment prior its disposal in said front chamber (6). The invention is further related to a kite (K) that uses the above-mentioned sail (1) and methods for manufacturing such sails (1).
