The invention is related to a multi-blade rotor (1) for a rotary wing aircraft, comprising a plurality of rotor blades (2a - 2e) connected to an associated rotor head (3) via a plurality of flexbeam elements (10a - 10e), wherin at least one flexbeam element (10a - 10e) of the plurality of flexbeam elements (10a - 10e) comprises an asymmetrical flexbeam root (14a - 14c) that is mounted to the associated rotor head (3).
