The invention relates to a tire pressure monitoring unit (1) for arranging inside a motor-vehicle tire in order to sense the tire filling pressure, comprising: a housing, in which electronic components (8, 9), in particular a circuit board, and at least one pressure sensor (12) are arranged, wherein the housing comprises a lower housing shell (3) and an upper housing shell (7), wherein the lower housing shell (3) or the upper housing shell (7) has at least one protrusion (14); an air inlet (11), which is arranged in the housing and by means of which the tire filling pressure can be applied to the pressure sensor (12); a seal (4), which is arranged between the air inlet (11) and the pressure sensor (12), wherein the electronic components (8, 9), in particular the circuit board, can be joined together with at least one protrusion (14) of the lower housing shell (3) or of the upper housing shell (7) integrally, in particular by means of a hot-embossing joint.
