A laminar flow coating (100) for aerodynamic surfaces is provided. The laminar flow coating may comprise a base composition (110), such as an epoxy composition, a fluoropolyurethane composition, or a polyurethane composition. A filler composition (120) may be dispersed within the base composition (110). The filler composition (120) may comprise at least one of a nanomaterial composition or a microfiller composition. The filler composition (120) may be doped with a hydrophobic surface modifier prior to being dispersed within the base composition (110).
