An electronic mirror apparatus (2) includes: pickup means (31, 32) provided on a lateral surface of a vehicle (1), the pickup means (31, 32) being configured to pick up an image of a predetermined pickup range in a vehicle lateral direction and in a vehicle rearward direction; display means (41, 42) disposed at such a position that a driver visually recognizes the display means; and processing means (51, 52) for performing a process for displaying the image picked up by the pickup means (31, 32), on the display means (41, 42), the processing means (51, 52) being configured to display, on the image, an assist image (7) expressing at least one of an outer part of a region where the vehicle (1) occupies a road surface in planar view of the vehicle (1) and an outside position a predetermined distance away from the outer part of the region where the vehicle (1) occupies the road surface in planar view of the vehicle (1).
