A driving assistance method detects a behavior of a moving object (52) causing a blind spot area (54) around a host vehicle (51), predicts a probability of action that the moving object (52) takes when an obstacle (53) is present in the blind spot area (54), according to a road structure around the host vehicle (51), and compares the behavior of the moving object (52) with the probability of action that the moving object (52) takes, so as to predict an action of the moving object (52).
