A solution for controlling an elevator system with an arrangement includes: at least one projector device for projecting a virtual user interface; and at least one gaze tracking device and a control unit. The control unit receives a number of images from the gaze tracking device and performs: detect a predefined input from image data; detect an intersection of the virtual user interface and a gaze point; and generate a control signal to the elevator system in accordance with a position of the gaze point intersecting the virtual user interface.
