The invention relates to a wooden vehicle structural component (100), comprising an elongate main body (110) made of solid wood (V), which main body has at least one force introduction region (111, 112) which is formed by locally compressing the solid wood (V) and which has a greater strength, at least one transition between the force introduction region (111, 112) having the greater strength and the adjacent region having the smaller strength is designed as a strength transition region (115) having a continuous and/or staged strength transition. The invention also relates to a method for producing a wooden vehicle structural component (100) having an elongate main body (110) made of solid wood (V), which main body has at least one force introduction region (111, 112) which is formed by locally compressing the solid wood (V) and which has greater strength.
