The method includes: A server obtains data collected by a sensor of a first device and a first control instruction. The server determines, based on the data collected by the sensor, whether there is a safety risk of executing the first control instruction by the first device. The server sends safety information to the first device. The safety information includes first indication information. The first indication information indicates whether there is a safety risk of executing the first control instruction by the first device. Embodiments of this application help improve accuracy of fault detection of an autonomous driving computing platform.
