The present application discloses a method and apparatus for charging pile type recognition, and an electric vehicle service platform. The charging pile type recognition method includes: obtaining a charging parameter of an electric vehicle within a preset time period; determining a proportion of a preset power charging capacity of a charging pile within the preset time period according to the charging parameter, wherein the proportion of the preset power charging capacity is equal to a ratio of a preset amount of electricity charged into the electric vehicle by the charging pile at a preset power within the preset time period to a total amount of electricity charged into the electric vehicle by the charging pile within the preset time period; and determining a type of the charging pile according to the proportion of the preset power charging capacity. In this application, workload, implementation difficulty and cost of the charging pile type recognition method may be reduced.
