A method (800) of operating an electric vehicle charging box (40) is presented. The method (800) comprises receiving (810) a radio signal (50) by point-to-point radio communication. The method (800) then comprises verifying (820) that a digital address (ECDA) contained in the received radio signal (50) matches a digital address (CBDA) of the charging box (40). The method (800) comprises reading (830), from the received and verified radio signal (50), data indicative of measured instantaneous consumption of electrical current (ICEC) on each of three electrical phases supplying power to the charging box (40). The method (800) finally comprises using said data for power utilization (840) of alternating current from an electrical cabinet (10) to deliver current to an electric vehicle (99) connected to the charging box (40).
