A self-aligning jet pump assembly for draining a liquid trap has a jet pump nozzle and a nozzle carrier that are self-aligning. An assembly is provided that enables a constant axial force between a first component and a second component over a range of operating conditions. The assembly can be used to provide a constant axial force on supported components, such as the self-aligning jet pump assembly.
