In a free state (I) the reinforcement strut holder (150) remains free, resulting in a first natural frequency of the steering column connected to the steering column holder (20), and in a reinforced state (II) the reinforcement strut (100) is held in the reinforcement strut holder (150), resulting in a second natural frequency of the steering column connected to the steering column holder (20). The invention also relates to a method for setting a natural frequency of a steering column and to a motor vehicle.
