One aspect of the invention relates to a method (100) for selecting an activation logic of an inerting system (3122) of at least one fuel tank of an aircraft (31) for at least one mission of the aircraft (31), the method (100) comprising the following steps: - transmitting (101) data relating to the preparation of the mission to a computer (32); - estimating (102), by the computer (32), a plurality of N risks of flammability of the fuel contained in the fuel tank, N being a non-zero natural number, each risk of flammability being estimated from: - a single activation logic of the inerting system selected from among a plurality of N activation logics of the inerting system (3122); and - data relating to the preparation of the mission; - selecting (103) an activation logic, from among the plurality of N activation logics, on the basis of the plurality of N estimated flammability risks and on the basis of a condition relating to the inerting system (3122).
