The invention concerns a control module (1) for controlling at least one function of a member of a motor vehicle, comprising: - a display device (2), - a touch-sensitive surface (3) configured to detect contact by a finger (7) of a user and the movement of same on the touch-sensitive surface (3), - a selection and display unit (5) linked to the display device (2) and to the touch-sensitive surface (3), the selection and display unit (5) being configured to display at least one item of a list of items (C1-CN), by the display device (2), characterised in that the control module (1) comprises: - a measurement device (4) configured to measure at least one parameter of a contact on the touch-sensitive surface (3), the measurement device (4) being linked to the selection and display unit (5), - the selection and display unit (5) being configured to select an item (C1-CN) from the list when: - a contact is detected on the touch-sensitive surface (3) in an area (Z1) associated with the display of an item (C1-CN) of the list, and - at least one parameter of the contact measured by the measurement device (4) exceeds a predefined threshold, without the contact being interrupted between the detection of the contact on the touch-sensitive surface (3) in the area (Z1) associated with the display of the item (C1-CN) and the predefined threshold being exceeded, following the detection of the finger (7) in said area (Z1). The invention also relates to a method for controlling said module (1).
