A vent 24 for a pipeline liner (12, Fig 1) comprising a porous element 56 extending across and in fluid communication with a through-passage 42 defined within an overmoulded polymer body 30 that embeds the porous element. Preferably, there is a pair of internal flanges 54 in mutual opposition about the porous element. Preferably, a resilient insert (84, Fig 12) is interposed between the porous element and the body. Preferably, the porous element is a frit or sinter (94, Fig 15) that is joined to the polymer body by a molecular bond. Preferably, the vent has a unidirectional valve (96, Fig 16) that is operable by differential pressure. A pipeline liner and a lined pipeline or pipe joint comprising the vent is also described.
