A connector module 110 for modular unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The connector module 110 includes a base extending midway between parallel, opposing supports. Each support of the parallel, opposing supports includes a rotor assembly connector 202 disposed on an outer major surface thereof. The rotor assembly connector 202 is configured for connecting a rotor assembly 104. The base and supports of the connector module 110 define first and second connector module docks including connector module locking formations (212,214,216,218). Each connector module dock is arranged for connecting either another connector module 110 or a payload (702,fig.7). The base of the connector module may house one or both of a controller and power source for the modular UAV. The controller may be configured, in response to receiving an integration instruction, to control rotor assemblies 104 connected via the rotor assembly connectors 202 to integrate the connector module 110 with a connector module 110 of another UAV.
