A steering system 10 (100, 200) for a three-wheeled buggy including a pair of spaced apart rear wheels and a front wheel 12 (112, 212) attached to a frame 18 (118, 218), a steering handle (30, 120, 220) pivotally mounted to the frame and operatively interconnected with an articulated frame member 14 (122, 222) supporting the front wheel. The buggy may be a golf buggy or cart. Preferably the articulated frame member is a fork pivoting about generally vertical axis 16 (124). Turning of the handle causes fork rotation by tensioning at least one flexible cable 20, 22 (126, 128, 227), the cable(s) comprises a flexible outer sheath and a flexible inner cable, a first end of the inner cable(s) is attached to a body (36, 134) rigidly mounted to a pivot shaft of the steering handle, a second end of the inner cable(s) is attached to the fork. The body comprises a grooved cylinder, a portion of the inner cable (126, 128, figure 7A) passes around the groove. A spring (24) biases the front wheel into a centred position, and the cable is a single Morse type Bowden cable.
