A method and system for providing access to a users vehicle to a delivery service provider, in which the vehicle has a remote keyless entry RKE receiver configured to receive an electromagnetic signal to unlock the vehicle, comprises: receiving an indication of a pending delivery, the indication comprising a service user identifier, and preferably generated by an online retailer; associating the user identifier with a delivery identifier for the pending delivery; retrieving, using the user identifier, vehicle information identifying the vehicle; receiving a request for key generation information from the delivery service provider, preferably including the delivery identifier, to enable an electronic device to generate an electromagnetic signal compatible with the RKE receiver of the vehicle; and retrieving and sending the key generation information in dependence on a positive authentication of the received request for key generation information. The vehicle information is preferably sent to the delivery service provider to confirm the vehicle. The electronic device may be on-board the vehicle and may generate the signal based upon a received instruction signal, which is preferably received from a wireless communication device. Conversely, the electronic device may be a wireless communication device itself. The location of the vehicle may be tracked.
