A base station for AUV recovery comprises: a base station body 1, two positioning thrusters 2 symmetrically provided on the base station body, a connecting ring 3 secured to the base station body, a guide cover 6 coaxially secured at one end to one end of the connecting ring with the other end being free and providing an adjustable opening, a locking device 5 secured at one end to the other end of the connecting ring, where an AUV recovered into the base station is clamped or released by the locking device, an in-position detector 7 secured to the other end of the locking device and a main controller provided in the base station body. Rotational speeds of the two positioning thrusters are controlled by the main controller, as are the clamp or release of the AUV by the locking device upon receiving a detection signal from the in-position detector.
