An aircraft landing gear assembly comprises a foldable stay 12 comprising a first stay member 18a pivotally connected to a second stay member 18b. The second stay member is pivotally mounted on a main leg 4, rotating in a first direction from a first position to a second position as the landing gear moves from a retracted to an extended configuration. A lock link 20 holds the stay in position when the landing gear is extended. If the lock link fails, the second stay member rotates in the first direction to a third position to contact an end stop 24, preventing further movement. The foldable stay goes over centre as the second stay member moves from the first position to the third position. The stay (e.g. side-stay or drag stay) may abut the end stop, reducing the risk of landing gear moving out of position following a lock link malfunction.
