A linear actuator and hydraulic electronic control unit (HECU) for an electrohydraulic braking system. The linear actuator includes a ball screw drive including a spindle 9 with left thread on one half and right thread on the other half; a fixed nut 10 mounted on the right thread; and a mobile nut 11 mounted on the left thread. One mobile nut end (11.2; fig. 6) is connected to a piston 15 through profile pipe 16, for generating pressure in piston housing 17 when the spindle 9 rotates and slides in hollow electric motor 8. The other mobile nut end (11.1; fig. 6) includes six equally distanced circumferentially located recesses (11.1.1, 11.1.2; fig. 10). The fixed nut end facing the mobile nut (10.2; fig. 9) includes three equally distanced circumferentially located recesses (10.2.1; fig. 9). The recesses are used to accommodate three screws 14 and three legs (13.1; fig. 11) of a hollow bus-bar 13. The three screws may be used to connect electric motor 8 with valve support 19 by passing through the bus-bar 13. The motor 8 may include a stator 23 located inside a rotor 22, the rotor being connected to the spindle 9 through connecting part 12.
