PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle detection sensor which uses a microwave to be able to flexibly cope with a sensor installation condition in a parking area and can reduce an influence thereon of rain as much as possible.SOLUTION: A vehicle detection sensor 1 includes a microwave module 4 and a radome 5 and detects the presence or absence of a vehicle parked in a prescribed parking area 3 by an FMCW system which calculates a distance to a parked vehicle C on the basis of a beat frequency signal between a microwave transmission signal and a reception signal reflected by the parked vehicle C. Blocking members 10 projecting in a transmission direction of the microwave are provided on both the right side and the left side, both the upper side and the lower side, or both the right side and the left side and both the upper side and the lower side of the module so as to limit a detection range angle with the microwave in accordance with the position of the sensor 1 and the size of the parking area, and the module is disposed so that a spacing distance between the module and a surface of the radome is about n times as long as a half wavelength of the microwave.

    【課題】マイクロ波を使用し、駐車エリアのセンサ設置条件に柔軟に対応できるとともに、雨の影響を可及的に少なくできる車両検出センサを提供する。【解決手段】車両検出センサ1は、マイクロ波モジュール4と、レドーム5とを備え、マイクロ波の送信信号と駐車車両Cに反射した受信信号とのビート周波数信号に基づいて駐車車両までの距離を演算するFMCW方式で、所定の駐車エリア3における駐車車両の有無を検出する。センサ1の位置と駐車エリアの大きさに応じて、マイクロ波による検出範囲角度を制限するように、モジュールの左右両側、上下両側または上下左右両側に、マイクロ波の送信方向に突出する遮断部材10を設け、モジュールとレドームの表面との間の離間距離がマイクロ波の半波長のn倍近傍となるように、モジュールを配置している。【選択図】図4
