PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress wind noise.SOLUTION: An air flow of a traveling wind reaches a clearance S2 while passing through a clearance S1 between a lower face 1606 of a mirror housing 16 and an upper face 1202 of a mirror base 12, passes through a clearance S3 between a bottom face 1804 of an annular recess 18 and a lower end face 2404 of a skirt part 24 from the clearance S2, is converted in its orientation by 180 degrees in the clearance S3, and reaches the inside of the mirror housing 16 from a clearance S4. Since the orientation of the air flow is converted by 180 degrees in the clearance S3, a flow speed is large changed in the clearance S3. A concave-convex part 26 in which a dimension of the clearance S3 is increased and decreased along a circumferential direction of the annular recess 18 is arranged at the lower end face 2404 of the skirt part 24. A large disturbance is generated since the air flow of the traveling wind traverses the clearance S3 whose dimension is increased and decreased at a point of the clearance S3 at which the flow speed is largely changed, and the disturbance becomes advantageous in terms of the suppression of wind noise in the clearance S3.
【課題】笛吹き音の抑制を図る。【解決手段】走行風の気流は、ミラーハウジング16の下面1606とミラーベース12の上面1202との間の隙間S1を通って隙間S2に至り隙間S2から環状の凹部18の底面1804とスカート部24の下端面2404との隙間S3を通って隙間S3で気流の向きが180度変換され隙間S4からミラーハウジング16の内部に至る。気流の向きが隙間S3で180度変換されることで、隙間S3において流速が大きく変化する。スカート部24の下端面2404に、隙間S3の寸法が環状の凹部18の周方向に沿って増減する凹凸部26が設けられている。走行風の気流は、流速が大きく変化する隙間S3の箇所で、寸法が増減する隙間S3を横切るため、大きな乱れが生じ、隙間S3において笛吹き音を抑制する上で有利となる。【選択図】図2
