PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent liquid-phase refrigerant from flowing into a compressor while improving cycle efficiency (COP) by gas injection operation in a heat pump cycle performing the gas injection operation.SOLUTION: If a heating load increases and a compressor 11 accelerates during a gas injection operation, it is determined that a phenomenon occurs that refrigerant containing liquid-phase refrigerant flows into an intermediate pressure port 11b of the compressor 11 and an operation mode is switched to a normal heat pump operation. Since a gas-phase refrigerant-side valve element 18 closes a passage for introducing the refrigerant to the intermediate pressure port 11b in this operation mode, it is possible to prevent the liquid-phase refrigerant from flowing into the compressor 11.

    【課題】ガスインジェクション運転を行うヒートポンプサイクルにおいて、圧縮機への液相冷媒の流入防止と、ガスインジェクション運転によるサイクル効率(COP)の向上を、両立させる。【解決手段】ガスインジェクション運転中に暖房負荷が増加して圧縮機11が増速される場合には、液相冷媒を含んだ冷媒が圧縮機11の中間圧ポート11bに流入する現象が発生すると判断し、運転モードをノーマルヒートポンプ運転に切り替える。この運転モードでは、中間圧ポート11bに冷媒を導く通路を気相冷媒側弁体18が閉じるため、圧縮機11への液相冷媒の流入を防止することができる。【選択図】図1
