PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a debris removing apparatus capable of efficiently removing relatively large-sized space debris.SOLUTION: A debris removing apparatus 3 which removes space debris circulating on a predetermined orbit around the earth comprises: a body part 10; an adhesion part 20 which adheres space debris onto the body part 10; a brake part 30 which generates braking force in a specific direction used for applying to space debris while the body part 10 circulates on the orbit together with space debris adhered onto the body part 10 via the adhesion part 20; and a timing control part 40 which controls occurrence timing of braking force. The timing control part 40 generates braking force when the body part 10 is positioned at a specific region on the orbit where the direction of braking force (i) becomes approximately parallel with an orbital plane, (ii) becomes approximately parallel with tangent line of the orbit, and (iii) becomes approximately opposite direction to the circulating direction of space debris while the body part 10 circulates on the orbit together with space debris.
【課題】比較的大型のスペースデブリを効率良く除去することができるデブリ除去装置を提供する。【解決手段】地球を中心とした所定の周回軌道上を周回するスペースデブリを除去するデブリ除去装置3であって、本体部10と、本体部10にスペースデブリを接着させるための接着部20と、接着部20を介して本体部10に接着させたスペースデブリとともに本体部10が周回軌道上を周回する間にスペースデブリに対して作用させるための特定方向の制動力を発生させる制動部30と、制動力の発生時期を制御する時期制御部40と、を備える。時期制御部40は、スペースデブリとともに本体部10が周回軌道上を周回する間に、制動力の方向が、(i)周回軌道面と略平行となり、(ii)周回軌道の接線と略平行となり、かつ、(iii)スペースデブリの周回方向と略逆方向となる、ような周回軌道上の特定領域に本体部10が位置したときに制動力を発生させる。【選択図】図1
