PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mirror stay capable of restraining vibration of a mirror when a vehicle travels, easy in dimensional control, and capable of compactifying a vehicle body side fitting part.SOLUTION: A driver's seat side mirror stay 3 comprises a first rod part 4 having a base end part 4a supported by an end part in the vehicle width direction of the front end of a vehicle 1, a second rod part 7 having a mirror support part 7b for supporting a mirror by extending in the vertical direction and continuing from a tip part 4b of the first rod part 4 via a continuous part 6 and a branch rod part 8 having one end part 8a fixed to the mirror support part 7b and the other end part 8b for connecting the mirror. The continuous part 6 diametrically expands toward the first rod part 4 from the second rod part 7; an outer diameter of the first rod part 4 is larger than an outer diameter of the second rod part 7; a peripheral wall of the first rod part 4 is thinner than a peripheral wall of the second rod part 7; and a size of the outer diameter of the first rod part 4 and a thickness of the peripheral wall are substantially uniform along the longitudinal direction of the first rod part 4.

    【課題】車両走行中のミラーの振動を抑制することができ、寸法管理が容易で、且つ車体側の取付部のコンパクト化が可能なミラーステイの提供。【解決手段】運転席側ミラーステイ3は、車両1の前端の車幅方向端部に支持される基端部4aを有する第1ロッド部4と、上下方向に延びてミラーを支持するミラー支持部7bを有し、連続部6を介して第1ロッド部4の先端部4bから連続する第2ロッド部7と、ミラー支持部7bに固定される一端部8aと、ミラーが連結される他端部8bとを有する分岐ロッド部8とを備える。連続部6は、第2ロッド部7から第1ロッド部4に向かって拡径し、第1ロッド部4の外径は、第2ロッド部7の外径よりも大きく、且つ第1ロッド部4の周壁は、第2ロッド部7の周壁よりも薄く、第1ロッド部4の外径の大きさ及び周壁の厚さは、第1ロッド部4の長手方向に沿って略一様である。【選択図】図1
