PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle monitor device capable of improving accuracy of determination of a kind of vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle monitor device comprises: a first laser radar 1 for scanning laser beam to a direction traversing an upper surface of a passing vehicle and a side surface on one side of the vehicle, measuring distance to a laser radiation point and outputting the distance; a second laser radar 2 disposed on a position separated from the first laser radar 1 in a progress direction of the passing vehicle, scanning the laser beam to a direction traversing the upper surface of the passing vehicle and an opposite side surface, measuring the distance to the laser radiation point and outputting the distance; a data fusion part 6 for fusing the output data of the first laser radar 1 and output data of the second laser radar 2; a vehicle shape determination part 7 for determining a vehicle shape, vehicle height, vehicle width and vehicle length, based on the data fused by the data fusion part 6; and a vehicle kind determination part 9 for comparing the output data of the vehicle shape determination part 7 and storage information stored in a vehicle kind comparison data storage part 8, for determining a kind of the passing vehicle.
