PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle for sand sprinkling and a sand sprinkling method which effectively prevent idling of wheels of a railway vehicle caused by leaves or the like fallen on a rail vertex surface, and significantly reduce an operator's burden associated with sprinkling of sand and significantly improve safety, and furthermore, can be realized inexpensively by a simple mechanism.SOLUTION: A vehicle for sand sprinkling has a fallen objects/attachments removing apparatus 30 having a cup brush 31 which brushes a vertex surface of a rail R in front of a wagon 10, and a sand sprinkling device 50 which sprinkles sand onto the vertex surface of the rail R in the rear of the cup brush 31 with respect to a traveling direction. The sand sprinkling device 50 has a container 51 storing sand and a piping 52 connected to a bottom end of the container, and a nozzle 55 is attached to a bottom end of the piping 52. The piping 52 and the nozzle 55 are provided in front of the rear wheels 15. After brushing the vertex surface of the rail R by the cup brush 31, sand is sprinkled from a sprinkling port at a tip of the nozzle 55 onto the vertex surface of the rail R in front of the rear wheel 15.

    【課題】レール頭頂面上の落ち葉などによる鉄道車両の車輪の空転を有効に防止し、しかも砂の散布に伴う作業者の負担の大幅な軽減および安全性の大幅な向上を図り、さらに機構が簡単で安価に実現することができる砂散布用車両および砂散布方法を提供する。【解決手段】砂散布用車両は、台車10の前方にレールRの頭頂面をブラッシングするカップブラシ31を有する落下物/付着物除去装置30を有し、進行方向に対してカップブラシ31の後方にレールRの頭頂面に砂を散布する砂散布装置50を有する。砂散布装置50は砂を収納する容器51とその下端に接続された配管52とを有し、配管52の下端にノズル55が取り付けられている。配管52およびノズル55は後輪15の手前に設けられている。レールRの頭頂面をカップブラシ31によりブラッシングした後、ノズル55の先端の散布口から後輪15の手前のレールRの頭頂面に砂を散布する。【選択図】図1
