The stator winding has a plurality of slot conductor groups constituted of a plurality of slot conductors 233a with the same phase, and the plurality of slot conductors 233a of the slot conductor groups 234 are inserted through a predetermined number Ns of slots arrayed consecutively in a circumferential direction of the stator core so that a slot 237 and layers L1-L4 are adjacent, where the predetermined number Ns of slots is set to Ns=NSPP+NL(=4) when the number of slots in each pole and each phase is set as NSPP(=2) and the number of layers is set as 2×NL(=4).
