PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle charger capable of reducing user burden at the time of charging facility introduction.SOLUTION: A vehicle charger includes: a plug cable 24 that receives power from an electric outlet 14; a power supply cable 26 that supplies the power received at the plug cable 24 to an air conditioner 12; a remote controller 32 that controls the air conditioner 12; a charge/discharge circuit 16 that supplies the power received at the plug cable 24 as charging power of a vehicle accumulator battery through a charging plug cable 30; an allowable current monitoring circuit 20 that monitors the power received at the plug cable 24; a used current monitoring circuit 22 that monitors the power supplied to the current monitoring circuit 22 by the power supply cable 26; and a peak-control control unit 18 that controls at least one of driving of the air conditioner 12 and the charging current on the basis of the monitoring result in such a manner the power does not exceed the allowable power of the electric outlet 14.

    【課題】充電設備導入時のユーザ負担を少なくすることが可能な車両充電装置を提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】コンセント14から電力を受電するプラグケーブル24と、プラグケーブル24で受電した電力をエアコン12に供給する給電ケーブル26と、エアコン12を制御するためのリモコン32と、プラグケーブル24で受電した電力を充電プラグケーブル30を介して車両の蓄電池の充電電力として供給する充放電器回路16と、プラグケーブル24で受電した電力を監視する許容電流監視回路20と、給電ケーブル26によりエアコン12に供給された電力を監視する使用電流監視回路22と、監視結果に基づいて、コンセント14の許容電力を超えないように、充電電流及びエアコン12の運転の少なくとも一方を制御するピークコントロール制御部18と、を備える。【選択図】図1
