PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To limit temperatures of individual batteries within a given operational temperature range in an electric vehicle incorporated with plural batteries.SOLUTION: An electric vehicle 100 includes: a voltage converter 10 that converts voltages in both directions between an output electric path 26 and either or both of first and second batteries 20, 23, and is capable of switching operation modes between a serial operation mode in which the first and second batteries 20, 23 are serially connected to the output electric path 26, and a parallel operation mode in which the first and second batteries 20, 23 are parallel connected to the output electric path 26; temperature sensors 62, 72 for detecting respective temperatures of individual batteries 20, 23; and a control part 80 for switching operation modes of the voltage converter 10. Further, in a case where a temperature of either of the individual batteries 20, 23 reaches or exceeds a given high-side threshold A, or reaches or falls below a given low-side threshold B, the control part 80 switches the operation mode of the voltage converter 10 to the parallel operation mode.
