PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve object identification accuracy in an object identification system.SOLUTION: An object identification system comprises: an identification candidate extraction part 714 which extracts a region where an object to be identified is drawn from a photographic image; a scan range specification part 715 which controls a laser radar distance measurement part 120 so that the object to be identified is irradiated with a laser beam when the region is extracted; and a false recognition removal part 731 which determines whether or not the object drawn in the extracted region is the object to be identified by comparing the allowable size of the object to be identified that may be drawn in the photographic image derived on the basis of the distance to the object to be identified measured by irradiation of an electromagnetic wave with the size of the extracted region.

    【課題】 物体識別システムにおける物体の識別精度を向上させる。【解決手段】 撮影画像より、識別対象の物体が描画された領域を抽出する識別候補抽出部714と、前記領域が抽出された場合に、前記識別対象の物体に、レーザ光が照射されるようレーザレーダ測距部120を制御する走査範囲指定部715と、前記電磁波が照射されることで測定された前記識別対象の物体までの距離に基づいて導出される、前記撮影画像に描画されうる識別対象の物体の許容サイズと、前記抽出された領域のサイズと、を対比することで、前記抽出された領域に描画された物体が識別対象の物体であったか否かを判定する誤認識除去部731とを有する。【選択図】図7
