PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hill assist control device for electric vehicles, the device capable of accurately detecting a tilt of a vehicle to calculate correct driving power to stop the vehicle.SOLUTION: The hill assist control device for electric vehicles is provided, the device including: basic control means 17 for controlling torque of a motor 3 in response to a torque command value inputted from accelerator operation means 4; and control means 18 for vehicle stationary and the like, the control means 18 obtaining an angular acceleration from the detection value of a rotation angle sensor 3a and outputting a torque command correction value to the basic control means 17 so that the angular acceleration becomes zero or a prescribed amount. The control means 18 for vehicle stationary and the like is provided with vehicle tilt angle detection means 24 for detecting a longitudinal tilt angle of the vehicle by two pieces of atmospheric pressure sensors 21F and 21R attached to the front and the rear of the vehicle respectively, and also provided with torque command correction means 25 for correcting a torque command value by using tilt angle/correction amount setting means 33 setting a relation between the tilt angle and torque command correction amount by the detected tilt angles.
