PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine presence/absence of abnormality of a gap between a footstep and a skirt guard.SOLUTION: A gap abnormality determination device 1 of an embodiment determines presence/absence of abnormality of a gap d2 between a footstep 120 and a skirt guard 131 of an escalator 100. The gap abnormality determination device 1 comprises a first sensor 2, a second sensor 3, and a determination unit 5. The first sensor 2 is disposed adjacently to a position where the footstep 120 passes during operation of the escalator 100, and detects that the footstep 120 started to pass or finished to pass. The second sensor 3 is disposed separated from the first sensor 2 in a width direction of a platform plate 140, and detects that the footstep 120 started to pass or finished to pass. The determination unit 5 determines presence of abnormality of the gap d2 when time difference Δt between first time when the first sensor 2 detects start or finish of passing of the footstep 120, and second time when the second sensor 3 detects start or finish of passing of the footstep 120, is equal to or more than a first threshold value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】踏段とスカートガードの間隙の異常を判定すること。【解決手段】実施形態の間隙異常判定装置1は、エスカレータ100の、踏段120とスカートガード131との間の間隙d2の異常を判定するものである。間隙異常判定装置1は、第1センサ2と、第2センサ3と、判定部5とを備える。第1センサ2は、エスカレータ100運転時に踏段120が通過する位置に隣接して配設され、踏段120が通過開始または通過終了したことを検出する。第2センサ3は、第1センサ2と乗降板140の幅方向に離間して配設され、踏段120が通過開始または通過終了したことを検出する。判定部5は、第1センサ2が踏段120の通過開始または通過終了を検出した第1時刻と、第2センサ3が踏段120の通過開始または通過終了を検出した第2時刻との時刻差Δtが第1しきい値以上である場合に、間隙d2の異常ありと判定する。【選択図】図1
