PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress generation of abnormal sound and blast in active noise control.SOLUTION: A reference signal generation unit 130 generates reference signals r0 and r1 by correcting phases of standard signals x0 and x1 on the basis of a modeled transmission function from output of an adaptive notch filter unit 140 to input of an error signal. The adaptive notch filter unit 140 then generates a control sound signal y on the basis of the reference signals, the standard signals, and an error signal e transmitted from a sound collection unit 160. A determining signal generation unit 170 also generates signals CV and SV for determination reflecting phase difference between a phase characteristic of the transmission function from the output of the adaptive notch filter unit 140 to the input of the error signal and a phase characteristic of the modeled transmission function on the basis of the error signal e, the reference signals r0 and r1 and the transmission function of the adaptive notch filter unit 140. An output characteristic control unit 180 then controls an output characteristic of control sound on the basis of the signals CV and SV for determination.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
