PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve quality of a component to be produced using alloy which is converted by the method of the present invention.SOLUTION: There is provided the method for converting alloy in which, in wt.% of the alloy, titanium occupies majority of the wt.%, the method comprises: a step for producing an ingot 1 formed of the alloy; at least first, second, and third steps of first type (A, B, C) formed by deforming the alloy from the ingot 1 by plastic deformation during a period in which temperature of the ingot 1 is clearly lower than β transus temperature (Tβ); and at least first and second steps of a second type (A', B') formed by deforming the alloy from the ingot 1 by plastic deformation during a period in which temperature of the ingot 1 is clearly lower than the β transus temperature (Tβ).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
