PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass member for preventing icing and accelerating thaw by coating a water-repellent heat transmission coating layer on a surface or both surfaces of a glass backing.SOLUTION: A glass plate 1 is coated with a water-repellent heat transmission coating layer 2 whose heat conductivity is less than that of the glass plate 1. A contact angle between the water-repellent heat transmission coating layer 2 and water is not less than 80°. A thickness of the water-repellent heat transmission coating layer 2 is 0.2-3.2 μm. The heat from the glass plate 1 is transferred to the water-repellent heat transmission coating layer 2 on the surface of the glass plate 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
