PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric propulsion unit capable of changing a generation direction of propulsion power while inhibiting increase in size.SOLUTION: An electric propulsion unit comprises: a cylindrical duct 2 functioning as a stator; a rim functioning as a rotor rotatable relatively to the duct 2 and including plural blades; a bracket 4 steerably supporting the duct 2 around a steering axis As that crosses the rotation axis of the rim; a driven gear 43 mounted to the duct 2; a drive gear 42 driving the driven gear 43; and a steering actuator 41 fixed to the bracket 4 and integrally steering the duct 2 and the rim 3 by driving the drive gear 42.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
