PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic sensor capable of preventing failure caused by water entry from outside, which may occur when subjected to a high-pressure washing water jet or the like, without sacrificing the sensitivity of an ultrasonic transducer while keeping clamping force of an elastic member within a feasible range.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic sensor 22 includes a cylindrical sensor case 2, an ultrasonic transducer 1 located inside the sensor case on a side with an opening and having an oscillating face, and an elastic member 3 which is formed between the ultrasonic transducer and sensor case so as to cover a side face and a bottom face of the ultrasonic transducer. The elastic member is formed such that an exposed surface end on the side with the opening has a smaller thickness than a portion that covers the side face of the ultrasonic transducer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
