PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular collision sensing system capable of estimating a colliding position with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A vehicular collision sensing system 1 includes a detection tube member 2 (hollow member) that is disposed on a vehicle front side of a bumper reinforcement 11 within a bumper 8 of a vehicle, extends in a vehicle width direction, and has a hollow part 2a formed inside, pressure sensors 3 and 4 that detect pressures in the hollow part 2a, and collision determination means that determines based on a result of pressure detection by the pressure sensors 3 and 4 whether occurrence of collision with the bumper 8 is present. The two pressure sensors 3 and 4 detect pressures at two points that are separated from each other in the vehicle width direction within the hollow part 2a. The vehicle collision sensing system further includes colliding position estimation means that estimates a colliding position on the basis of a phase shift between pressure waves detected by the respective two pressure sensors 3 and 4 along with occurrence of collision with the bumper 8.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】簡易な構成で衝突位置を推定可能な車両用衝突検知装置を提供する。【解決手段】車両用衝突検知装置1は、車両のバンパ8内におけるバンパリンフォースメント11の車両前方側に車幅方向に延びて配設され、内部に中空部2aが形成された検出用チューブ部材2(中空部材)と、中空部2a内の圧力を検出する圧力センサ3,4と、圧力センサ3,4による圧力検出結果に基づいて、バンパ8への衝突発生の有無を判定する衝突判定手段とを有する。2つの圧力センサ3,4は、中空部2a内の車幅方向に離隔する2箇所でそれぞれ圧力を検出する。そして、バンパ8への衝突発生に伴って2つの圧力センサ3,4によりそれぞれ検出される各圧力波形の位相ずれに基づいて、衝突位置を推定する衝突位置推定手段を備えている。【選択図】図2
