PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize a drive unit of a power-assisted bicycle while securing yield performance of the drive unit.SOLUTION: A drive unit 40 includes: a housing 51; a crank shaft 41; a motor 61 accommodated in the housing 51; a gear 82; a gear shaft 81; and a control board 38. The control board 38 is one out of two boards having the same shape obtained by cutting a surface of a rectangular original board. A cutting line following this cutting includes a non-parallel line which is not parallel to a side vertical to a side passed by the rectangular cutting line of the original board. A part of the control board 38 is disposed between a first shaft and a second shaft that are two shafts out of the crank shaft 41, a motor shaft 64, and the gear shaft 81. In an axial view of the first shaft, at least a part of the first shaft is included in a virtual rectangle defined by a side of the control board facing the cutting line, and a longer side out of two sides connected to the side of the control board.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
